HONESTY!
Credibility! Who's lying, that is what this is all about.
You determine! I don't have to like it but you decide.
I had decided to keep this simple, but . . . after what was told to me today (06-30-00),
I am so angry that I could spit. His lies have passed any laws of decency.
LIES!
Ron is co-owner of the business!
Not! At least that's what Bill says.
Reggie of the old store ripped everyone off and we can't get credit.
Not! He can't get credit because he doesn't pay his bills. Check with his suppliers.
Everyone who's ever worked here has ripped us off.
Not! If they were like me, they got ripped off.
Everyone likes me, they always have. (Quote; Bill)
Not! There were customers who only came into the store when they knew Bill was not working.
I mailed the check/money-order.
No-one has had as many money-orders go missing in the mail, as Bill.
I don't take any money out of the business.
Not! He has no other way of paying personal bills. Everything is bought tax-free thru the store.
We ordered it.
He had me believing that story till I learned about minimum orders.
It was supposed to have been delivered yesterday/ Monday/ choose.
Not! He never ordered it or doesn't have the money to pay COD.
We will special order it.
Yes! Only if you pay upfront and then he'll sell it to whoever wants it.
I mailed your paycheck.
Not! The bank got three payments on the same day, 3 weeks later.
We're not making any money on magazines, it's a service to our customers.
Not! Look under fraud.
DUPLICITY
Working on it.
FRAUD
Magazines:
This is how this little con game works;
Most of the (men's) magazines are $6.99. Six magazines, $41.94. ($12.00+ profit)
Bill will give you one, current magazine, for six turned in. ($4.00+ cost)
he will make 2 3-packs at $12.99. each. (28.98 profit)
So?, you say?
Any current month magazines are returned to the rack, as never been sold. ($6.99 profit)
We don't make any profit on magazines! It's a service to our customers! (quote; Bill)
According to my calculations, the profit on 6 magazines turned in, can be $42.00.
Consignment items.
A 70%-30% split, normal. No cash outlay on Bill's part.
Artist agrees to a selling price of $10.00.
$7.00 to the artist, $3.00 to Bill. Right?
Not! Bill marks it up to $20.00. The artist? $3.00.
THEFT
The Hampton Inn. This is a big embarrassment to me. Treat him right and Bill will steal
from you.
Bill had, absolutely, nothing to do with acquiring, dealing with or helping, in any way,
the Hampton Inn store.
He refused to spend the $19.95 for a U-Haul truck. I, together with others (Jonathan
included) took everything out in little pick-ups. We had to stop and re-tie the racks
together many times. Sammy, a str8 gal was a Godsend. She had delivered merchandise and
offered to help. Bill and Ron were in the middle of a fight and ignored her, totally. She
loaded her van and took a huge load out to the Hampton where she helped me set up. After
the weekend she helped pack up. Bill refused to pay her. He rented a U-Haul to pick up
the boxes and display racks and 'stole' a 6' silk Ficus plant from the hotel.
He also stole a display rack from the supplier who had helped him for months, financially.
CON-ARTISTRY
Bill gives a 10% discount to bar employees. In exchange he gets drinks at employee prices
when he drinks at the bars.
The bar employees don't pay the 450% markup.
They only pay a 405% markup.
Same great deal for employees.
The Coke refrigerator in the store is on loan as long as Bill buys from Coke.
He stocks it by buying from Sams, using his sales tax #. All his home purchases are made the same way.
PARANOIA
It is 'Mr Bill', don't ever forget it. he won't. Unless he is catered to, he will use and discard you.
He refers to himself as 'Mr Bill' and gets very upset if he is not referred to in the same way.
'Little Willie' is more appropriate. I, guess, I made that mistake.
A (female) customer was told 'Don't let the door hit you in the ass' when she questioned a price.
DISLOYALTY
Working on it.
ILLEGALITY
This is an area which will be reserved for litigation, should I have to go there.
ARROGANCE
This is a sad area. I've not been able to determine whether his arrogant attitude is
because of his lack of stature or just plain arrogance. a little of both would be my guess,
HONESTY
A simple statement; Bill is not honest in his dealings with people, His business
practices, other people's property or the law.
